Reporting to the Police

What to expect:

Some people find it helpful to talk confidentially to a counsellor  before making the decision about whether or not to report to the police and we are happy to provide this support either through the helpline or face to face service.

Are you thinking of reporting to the police but not sure what would happen?

Our Criminal Justice System can sometimes seem confusing, the Independant Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) can help in making sense of the procedures and possible outcomes.

You can contact Tracey, our Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) in the following ways:

Address: P.O. Box 1401, Southampton, Hampshire, SO18 9AD

Mobile Number: 07767 73 47 00

or you can phone the Admin line on:

02380 636312 or 023 80636313

What to expect:

You can talk to our Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) in confidence, in order to talk over what may or may not happen.

Hampshire Police have produced a booklet containing relevant information about what will happen if you do choose to report and reading this through may help you to reach an informed decision.
